125th Anniversary

 BETHEL REFORMED CHURCH CELEBRATING
125TH ANNIVERSARY

In 1885, a group of German speaking farmers established what was formerly known as the Monroe Township Reformed Church with 22 members on the roll. Over the years, the church has grown, changed it’s name to Bethel Reformed Church, endured the loss of it’s building to fire, and rebuilt their building at a new black-top location. We have truly been blessed! Now Bethel Reformed Church is 125 years old and still praising the Lord!

Bethel Reformed Church will celebrate their 125th anniversary on Sunday, September 19, 2010. We will sing many old, favorite hymns. A choir of past and present members will be singing some old favorites as well. And memories of years past will be shared with the congregation.

If you are a horse owner, we invite you to turn back the hands of time and ride your horse to Bethel Church on Sunday, September 19.

Finally, a pot-luck lunch and time of fellowship will be shared beginning at 11:00 a.m.

The church is located at 29557 Hickory Avenue – 2 miles North of Aplington. The morning worship service begins at 9 a.m., followed by fellowship time and children’s Sunday School at 10:05 a.m. If you have any questions about the events planned for our anniversary celebration, would like to participate in some way, or have a memory or memorabilia you would like to share, please contact the church at 319-347-6219.

Bethel Reformed Church would like to extend this invitation for all to join in celebrating 125 years of God’s grace!
